Some easy aspects and some harder aspects here!

Easy routine adjustments: 

Make sure your body has enough nutrients. The best way of doing this is by having “a balanced diet”. However, I find that if my diet is not containing my “5-a-days” (five portions of fruit or veg), then it’s convenient to pop a good quality multivitamin.

Make sure that craps are fairly regular and healthy. If they are not, you may want to get some checks to see whether you have IBS or any intolerances etc.

Turbocharge your digestive system! I am a huge advocate of the following product:

Probio 7 may look tacky but it is the real deal. I have suffered from a dodgy gut for years. However, after taking this my digestive system has been running A LOT better. Basically, each tablet is full up the bacteria that exist in your gut already. It’s worth a try you feel yo need to sort your gut out.

Medium:

Take a look at the saturated fat content of what you eat. I went through a stage of eating chocolate coconut macaroons. Little did I know that the particular brand that I was eating contained over 15% saturated fat. I was eating a pack of 5 in one go thinking that it was a relatively healthy(ish) treat. However, I found that about 45 mins after a ate them, I would get a dull ache on the top of my scalp which would last about 3-4 hours. After cutting out the macaroons (sad times), this dull ache went away from my daily routine.

The hard bit: Quantity: 

At this stage I should tell you that 50% of the time I eat the same as several pigs at once. I love to eat as much as I possible can as often as I can. I stay relatively thin due to frequent exercise and a fairly healthy diet. However, I know for a fact that I feel healthier when my portion sizes are smaller, and my digestion is improved no end if I’m actually hungry before I eat.

I think what I am trying to say is the following: don’t for Christ’s sake starve yourself, but try to eat in moderation.

Conclusion: 

I will add more detail to this section in the future, however keep in mind the following:

  • Keeping your bodies nutrition topped up
  • Watch out for the bloody saturated fat – it’s a killer for you body!
  • Don’t eat too much at once
  • Make sure that your physically hungry at least once or twice a day. You can tell when you’re physically hungry as your stomach will normally start to rumble!
