Mind to rest


This is a big topic! I have found that making sure that your mind doesn’t have to go through so much shit each day, and has enough “relaxation time”, is absolutely key to preventing hair loss. I will also describe my thoughts on making sure your conscience doesn’t plague you with stressful dreams!

From my experience, I loose hair when I don’t rest enough each day. However, in order to understand what I mean by this, I want to explain what I mean by rest! First of all, resting does not constitute any of the below:

Resting is about putting your mind into autopilot; ideally the best option is to sleep! I recommend that people take sleep very seriously. Life is so much easier, happier and more fun when you get good quality sleep. Also, in the time leading up to your good quality sleep, you need to implement some good wind down activities.

Things that DO NOT wind most people down in preparation for a good night’s sleep:

  • Gaming
  • Shopping online
  • Social Media
  • Dating
  • Pornography
  • Worrying
  • Eating copious amounts of food

Thing I would recommend to do before a good nights sleep:

  • Relaxed TV
  • Read a book
  • Listen to a story
  • Listen to a Podcast – ideally a meditation podcast, but I often listen to the economist to put me to sleep.
  • Go for a gentle walk outside

Annoyingly, the secret is not to do anything too fun before you go to bed. Ideally you want to look forward to drifting off into a nice sleep, and then waking up feeling like a legend!
